Details: Rare and sought after in its original form; incredibly difficult to locate even as a reproduction. This poster has been photographed and is now reproduced in full colour, at A3 size. It is considered a 'must have' for any magic or Maskelyne and Cooke collector, of course.

Size: PAPER: A3 sized = 297mm x 420mm or 11.7 inches x 16.5 inches] IMAGE: 290mm x 413mm or 11.4 inches x 16.2 inches. As you can see the image nearly fills the paper with a 7mm margin all around [approx].

Materials: 100 GMS [Grammes per metre squared] matte poster paper [Neusiedler brand], coated and treated. Details are vividly reproduced on this type of paper and are perfect for framing and hanging.

Condition: Mint condition. New manufacture, unused.

Description:

This poster is a reproduction of an original dated to 1876  which depicts the performances of Messrs Maskelyne and Cooke at the Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly, London, England which was owned and promoted by them, of course.

The poster features the wording "Egyptian Hall - Maskelyne and Cooke - The new sensation. By command of the spirit Mr.Maskelyne finds his own body ... over the heads of the audience" and also mentions Psycho the Automaton as well as making reference to other unnamed ilusions.

The original poster is dated to 1876. You are, of course, buying a REPRODUCTION of this poster. NOT the original!

The poster will reflect the condition of the original and in places that may mean odd marks and shadows, etc. The original item features some age related marks, flecks and scratches that the passage of time inflicts upon very sensitive and NON-technologically advanced materials.
